So I did a set up with lights and everything, following a dvd tutorial by Jeremy Vickery to light up a scene efficiently without using global illumination.
And tadah! 49 seconds to render. Oh oops, I made the bounce light on the sphere a little too bright >< Anyways I was kinda curious to see if global illumination could do something like this for me without the mental ray occlusion shader, and it did :
in 1min and 33 seconds D: which is a pretty long wait for a set up so simple.
You havent heard from me lately, because right now I'm in the midst of a messy situation, with my final project in a disorganized state, graduation batch's exhibition coming up, and I have to start applying for jobs soon D: Its a period of uncertainty and it makes one really nervous. I'm trying to sum up enough courage in me to take a leap of faith for once, instead of settling for something in the safe zone. Rawr!
Anyways gotta get back to work!
Ta!
